Hey there no worries, this document should help you get your Python installation right, and hopefully preemptively put everything that (has already or would have) confuse you about Python.
It assumes you have Ubuntu (many of the links provided though clarify how to handle it on Windows, or Mac as well).
It’s actually very quick, but I added a few alternatives to handling virtual environments that you should check out, once the minimal path got you to run a cadCAD tutorial.
